Michael
Raymond Spahn, also known as Mike Spahn, Spahn, or Spahnny, a resident of
Montclair CA, died unexpectedly on January 22, 2016 at the age of 50 while in
his home. Spahn is survived by his cousin Anna Barnhart grandmother Betty
Crocker, and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother Norma and his father
Oren. Spahn was born in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Montclair High School
in 1984 as valedictorian of his class. He was regarded as a genius by many of
his peers. After a brief stint in the military he had many jobs including
painting airplanes and truck driving, but his number one passion was being a
musician. Spahn was a devoted and avid bass player and song writer. He enjoyed
playing bass in many bands. He often played at local venues, bars and parties.
He was a skilled and intuitive musician among his avid listeners and was
respected as extremely talented. More importantly he was a kind, brilliant,
loyal, compassionate friend and overall happy person. Spahn was pleasant to be
around and had interesting conversations that often included deep thoughts. He
never let people know he needed things, but was more concerned about others and
their well being. He has left us with great happy memories that we will
cherish, he will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew
him…….We will miss you forever Mike Spahn, rest in peace. A place to rest will
be determined and updated on this site
