I first met Ken in the 80's when my daughter, Joanna, brought him to Arizona to meet us. I guess I didn't warm up to him right away. I thought him too old for my daughter. But, in the end, love conquers all. I held a wedding reception at my home in Arizona in following months. The entire Lorenz family traveled to be there to celebrate. It was so wonderful to meet them. I also got to meet his adorable 10 year old son, Little Kenny. They were and to his day a very close, loving tight-knit family. So thankful I got to meet them. Over he years, Joanna and Ken came to Arizona to celebrate many holidays. I came to realize what a wonderful person Ken was. He had such a wonderful work ethic. He would do anything for anybody. I so enjoyed the pictures they sent me of their camping and fishing trips. He will be so missed by all who came in contact with him. My heart and prayers go to his entire family. I am so thankful for my two beautiful grandchildren, Elishia and Joseph Lorenz, that he left me. When I look at them, I remember him. Sharon Lara

Brother Kin I remember the first day we meet, I was 18 and you picked me up from my apartment in Fontana and we had a lunch at In and Out - that was the first time I learned about what an animal burger was... (smiles) and then we headed on our way to the youth camp service in arrowhead mountains ... I was nervous at first but God showed me what a good man you were and you were just being a mentor image to me... From that moment I knew the Lord had blessed me with a spiritual uncle... Now my heart weeps for the thought of knowing I'll never see you playing your guitar in that front corner of higher ground church ever again, nor will I ever see that big bright smile when you'd greet me after not see me after a long while with that concerned question of how have I been... All thought the weeping may be for a night, I know Joy cometh in the morning... Rest in peace my Brother- we shall meet again on that glorious day....

Brother Ken was such and encouraging, and kind gentleman. I remember his and Sister Marlene's loving and encouraging words to me after our Worth The Wait youth service. They told me to trust in God and he will provide me with a a Loving husband, and reminded me often that God loves me. He was and always will be such a great example to young men and women alike! He will be greatly missed.

I'll always remember when I used to go down in the prayer room at the Colton church n I would sometimes struggle to pray and touch God and Bro Ken would be in his office He would began to worship God and I would hear him that encouraged me so much and I begin to feel the presence God and be able to touch n feel God... Bro. Ken was a very humble, kind, gentle man... always full of joy n smiles.... A perfect example of a true Christian. He will be greatly missed...

Kenny was my favorite childhood cousin. Our Moms were sisters and as children we grew up in NJ. Many summer days Kenny and his Four syblings and my three spent endless hours playing cards, running through sprinklers and having picnics. As adults we each went our own way but those memories never left my heart. He children were lucky to have him as their Dad. May God Bless him and may he rest in peace, your cousin Lori
