Rosa Rubio Sanchez

May 31, 1918 - April 12, 2016

Rosa Rubio Sanchez was born May 31, 1918 in Nogales, Arizona. Several years later the family moved and made Colton their permanent home. Rosa passed away peacefully on April 12 at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Teresa Valles Rubio, her husband Ramon Sanchez, brothers Guadalupe, Raul, and Reynaldo Rubio, sisters Ramona Cooper, Elena Padilla, daughter Patricia Sanchez Dahl. Survivors include her son, Alfred Gonzales (Becky), brother Jose (Chepe) Rubio, son-in-law Tom Dahl, grandsons Jason Dahl and Antioco (Ray) Gonzales. She is also survived by her deceased husband’s children, Ramon Sanchez, Jr. (Lois), Lara Pitman, Terry Sanchez (Deceased). She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a long and varied life. She was steadfast in her faith, loving God and trusting Him in all things. She loved all of her families. Her love and devotion for her son, daughter and grandsons Jason and Antioco was especially unconditional. She was strong, confident, and independent. She enjoyed her travels to many countries, she was very passionate about walking daily, sometimes alone for miles at a time, until she was not able to just a few years ago. A Celebration of Life will be held at San Salvador Catholic Church, 7ty & L St, in Colton with Viewing at 10 AM, Rosary 10:30, Mass 11. Burial will follow at Hermosa Cemetery in Colton.
