Vera Maxine Nipper

January 4, 1927 - April 18, 2016

Vera Maxine Bengtson (Davis,Nipper) On April 18, 2016, Vera entered heaven’s gates from natural causes. Vera was being comforted by family members at Raincross at Riverside Senior Living Facility in Riverside, CA. Vera was 89 years old. Vera was born January 4, 1927 in Boxholm, Iowa; the forth child and the only daughter of Anna & Abel Bengtson. The family moved from Iowa to Riverside, Ca. when Vera was 9 years old. She graduated from Poly High School in Riverside and married Robert “Bob” E. Lee Davis in 1948. They were active members of Eden Lutheran Church. Vera was a homemaker and the mother of four children. Over the many years, she enjoyed traveling and camping in their motorhome with her family and friends. Robert passed away in 1967 and Vera married William “Bill” Nipper in 1976. Vera was preceded in death by her husbands Bob Davis and Bill Nipper, her parents, Anna and Abel Bengtson, and her three brothers, Donald, Wilmer and Roger Bengtson. Vera is survived by her four children, Linda (Davis) Lasater/Cliff, Tom Davis/Maria (Morente), Cherie (Davis) Cullen/Don and Diana (Davis) Hawthorne/Scott. She is also loved and will be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Vera will be laid to rest at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, CA between her husband, Robert E. Lee Davis, and both of her parents, Anna & Able Bengtson. A private family memorial service is planned to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to a favorite charity.
