Joan moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960’s with her mother and sister in search of a better life. She was a devote Catholic, reading from the bible or attending church almost every day. She worked in downtown Los Angeles at the Child Support Services Department for over 15 years and was well loved by her co workers. Joan was a very private person that lived a simple life, close to God. She could be feisty, stubborn, headstrong. She was an truly and independent "Boston Yankee" in every sense of the word.
Thank you Honey Bee Gonzalez and Janice Black for your devoted friendship with Joan and your support through this hard time. Joan will be interred with her mother at Hollywood Memorial Gardens at a future date. May she rest in peace.
