Iva June Loomis

Iva June Loomis, 97, of Colton, passed away December 30,
2016, after a brief illness. Born in Holtville, Ca, she lived in Colton since 1920. A 1937 graduate of Colton High, she also
attended San Bernardino
Valley College . She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Brent and Sandy Loomis of Alta Loma and her son-in-law,
Michael Cree of Moreno
Valley , the surviving
spouse of her daughter, Linda. Iva has
two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was married 48 years to Ray H. Loomis and lived independently in her
own home following his death in 1986. In
addition to her devotion as a parent and homemaker, Iva’s interests included
sewing, reading, and gardening. A woman
of faith, she was a long-time member of Colton Community
Church where she served
as a volunteer in many activities. She
was also an active member of the Colton Woman’s Club and a past member of the
Paradise Valley Model A Ford Club and the Colton Boat and Ski Club. The memorial service will be January 9 at Colton Community
Church with internment at Hermosa Cemetery .
