Linda E. Labrouche
September 24, 1947 – December 29, 2016
Linda Elaine Labrouche (nee Erlewine), 69, of Upland, passed
away December 29, 2016, after a four-year courageous battle with lung cancer.
Linda was born in Covina, CA, and grew up in Ontario where she graduated from
Chaffey High School in 1965. Linda retired after 30 years from Huntley
Bookstore at The Claremont Colleges where she was Textbook Manager.
Linda was active with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and enjoyed
traveling with her sorority sisters and her husband, Jean. She had a quick wit,
a wonderful sense of humor, an engaging smile, and she especially loved to
laugh. Linda enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo with friends and loved to play
Keno in Las Vegas. She was a huge fan of Paul McCartney and Coca Cola.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Sylvia
Erlewine. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jean, of Upland; a son,
David Farris, of Palm Springs; a brother, Lee (Chris) Erlewine of Illinois; a
sister, Nancy (Bob) Strickland of Mt Baldy; a nephew, Robbie (Lauren)
Strickland of Atlanta, GA; a niece, Laura Sinay of Rancho Cucamonga; and
great-nephews Jacob Sinay and Joseph Strickland.
Graveside service Friday, January 13, 10:30 am,
Bellevue Memorial Park. Inland Memorial is handling arrangements (inlandmemorial.com). In
