Surrounded by her family, Nancy Jensen-Vahovick of Upland,
CA passed away peacefully in her home on February 13, 2017. She was 65 years
old.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 3 years, Charles (Chuck)
Vahovick, his children and grandchildren, a sister, Helen Goldie, brother
in-law Roy Goldie and niece, Ashley Goldie of Littleton, CO., as well as her
Uncle Frank Sukle of Cranston, RI and Uncle Edward Kovach of Hershey, PA. She is
also survived by numerous cousins and all those whom have been fortunate to
cross her path on her selfless journey through life.
Nancy was born on February 16, 1951 and preceded in death by
her parents John and Helen Sukle of Steelton, PA. as well as her first husband
(and college sweetheart), of 31 years James Brownlee Jensen and their
adopted-in-spirit children Nicholas and Adam Zakowicz. She was a graduate of
Fontana High School and California State Polytechnic University (Cal Poly).
Nancy was an accomplished marketing professional and a
dedicated CEO at Avendren. She was a generous, witty, driven woman who loved
helping others and was passionate about giving back. Nancy will be remembered
by those closest to her for her tireless work ethic, which was only eclipsed by
her selfless giving to friends, community, family, and anyone in need. Nancy
was generous, kind and lived life to the fullest. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
A Joyous Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held April 8th,
2017 at 1:00pm
at: Life Bible Fellowship Church, 2462 N. Euclid Ave, Upland CA 91784.
Gathering will follow immediately after at the residence of Nancy Jensen-Vahovick located at 2278 N. Euclid Ave, Upland Ca 91784
Her ashes will be scattered at the Seven Sacred Pools in Maui.
