Sylvia Garcia Marquez

December 1, 1946 - February 2, 2017

Sylvia Garcia Marquez, age 70, passed away February 2, 2017 of complications from cancer.  She was educated from San Bernardino Valley College and received a BA from University of Riverside. Sylvia retired from March Air Force Base as a civilian employee in the retirement department.  Sylvia lived last in Redlands, California.  she joins her mother, Chole Mercado and stepfather, Rosendo Mercado from Colton, California. Sylvia is survived by sisters, Priscilla Sierra, Dee Sanchez (Sal), Maria Munoz and Rebecca Mercado Gabaldon.  She has many cousins, nieces and nephews of Southern California. New Mexico and Arizona.  Sylvia chose cremation with simple words over her from a Christian pastor, with few in attendance and no reception.
