Eugene Allen Gomes,”Gene” age 60, formerly of Fontana, California passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Bloomington, California.  Gene was born in Hanford, California February 8, 1957.

Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Aldine Gomes. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert Gomes and Larry Gomes, two daughters Geri Lynn Gomes and Jennifer Marie Schreyer (Gomes), five grandchildren, Chandler, Austin, Aubrey, Allie, and Gwen.


I would like to thank David Affleck, Cheri, James, and Timothy Phillips, Matthew Stead for taking care of Gene during his last days.

Rick Ludwig, 61, was born on July 10, 1955 and passed away at his home in Colton, CA on April 23, 2017.  Rick is survived by his wife Rennea Ludwig; two sisters Diana Casper and Linda Bryk; three nephews Daniel, Mark and David; and two nieces Lisa and Amber.

Memorial Services will be held at Harvest Christian Fellowship located at 6115 Arlington Ave.  Riverside, CA 92504 on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.


Rick was a tender-hearted loving husband, brother and friend to all who met him and k new him.
Susan Agnes Breier

Sunday, April 23, 2017 marked the passing of longtime Rancho Cucamonga resident Susan Agnes Breier.

Susan was born February 9, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to California with her mother, father and sisters in 1964 to Glendora, CA. She graduated from Charter Oak High School and later from Cal Poly – Pomona with a bachelor’s degree in English. After college, she went on to be an Elementary teacher, but the majority of her professional career was spent with Cutter, Miles, and Abbott Laboratories from which she retired in 2010.

Susan was a lover of music, singing, teaching and people. She sang with the Orange County Master Chorale for many years and traveled the world bringing her joy of music to others, and even performed in the 1984 Olympics. She supported the West End Literacy League as an adult tutor and privately tutored friends and coworkers in reading and music. Her greatest joy was being with her family and her numerous friends. She was a loving and supporting soul to all and her passing leaves an emptiness in many hearts and lives, but her life leaves all that knew her, with a warmth to last forever.

Susan is survived by sisters, Ina (Breier) Pettibone and spouse Don, Mary (Breier) Mahoney and spouse Mike, Cynthia (Olsen) Ramsey and spouse John, Marilyn (Olsen) Midwood and spouse Thomas, Cathy (Olsen) Vawser; brothers, Ronald Olsen and spouse Heather. In addition are nieces, Stacy Skubic, Jennifer Rodgers and spouse Sascha, Meredith Olsen, Anna Vawser, Christina Vawser, Darcy Vawser and Velvet Midwood; nephews, Joseph Skubic and spouse Trisha, Elric Mahoney, Kyle Mahoney and spouse Emily, Christopher Mahoney and spouse Annie, Michael Mahoney Jr. and spouse Brittney, Erik Olsen, Benjamin Vawser, Jesse Midwood, and John Midwood; great nieces and nephews, Coen Rodgers, Jacob Rodgers, Tristan Skubic, Kayson Skubic, Torin Midwood and a host of loving friends, many for whom she assumed the honor of sister and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her father Hans Walter Breier, mother Alice Breier, and birth father Olaf Olsen.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Los Alamitos, CA. Viewing will be held from 1:00 – 1:30PM and memorial service will be at 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s name to your local diabetes or arthritis foundations.

Alfred (Fred) Albert Garcia, Age 60, who resided in San Bernardino, CA, peacefully passed away on April 20, 2017.

He was one of four children to Alfred and Rebecca Garcia who both predeceased him. Fred graduated from Aquinas High School in San Bernardino, CA in 1974 and attended California State University San Bernardino. He was a good man with a keen intellect and a sharp sense of humor. He enjoyed his family and his many hobbies -- playing chess, fishing, reading, etc. Fred was a former Sales Associate in the electronics department at Walmart in Highland, CA and he loved assisting customers and chatting just about everything.

He is survived by his three children: Alfred (Chach) Findlay of San Bernardino, CA, Ramona (Mona) Findlay of San Bernardino, CA and Christopher Findlay (wife Erica) of Colton, CA.  He is also survived by his three siblings: Sylvia Garcia-Flores (husband Nick) of Yucaipa, CA, Cyndy Driver of Beaumont, CA and Paul Garcia of San Bernardino, CA. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was loved and will be missed by many.


There will be a Celebration of Life held for Fred on Sunday, May 7th from 1pm-5pm at American Legion Post 106 located at 1532 Church Street, Redlands, CA 92374.

Margaret Velardes, 86, passed away on April 10, 2017 at Loma Linda Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her son Julian.

Margaret is survived by her son Frank and daughter Mary (Peter) Macias, Veronica Lopez, Rachel Gonzales and LaLa (Henry) Diaz, 17 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, five sisters Mary, Betty, Leonor, Lynn, and Adelina and one brother Raymond.  A private service will be held at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton on April 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.


EJ Miller

EJ Miller, a remarkable man who is gone too soon. 

EJ's passing was sudden and unexpected. Anyone who knew him knows just what a loving, caring, funny, gifted and talented man he was. EJ was always there for his family, friends and anyone in need. His music, his words and his gestures will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His music is a gift that he has left for his family and the world. 
 
On April 10, 2017, Ervin James Miller Jr. ended his journey in this world and his new one began.

Known to most as EJ, he was born September 5, 1948, in Winston-Salem, NC to the union of Ervin James Miller Sr. and Willy Mae Edwards.  Both precede him in death.

EJ was a Decorated Disabled Vietnam War Veteran.  He was honored to be able to serve his country. 

He worked for the Motion Picture Industry for 18 years, on many of your favorite movies and tv shows, until his retirement.

EJ was a gifted singer-songwriter and recording engineer, and he loved helping others with their craft.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Antoinette, their children: Shannon Miller Wingfield MD, Brian Miller(Tiffany) CA and Morgan Miller CA.  Aunt Geneva Holman (Wallace) GA.  Sisters Velma Watkins (William) GA and Madonna Gentry GA.  Brothers Wallace Gentry (Pamela ) GA and Warren Gentry (Valda ) GA.  Grandchildren: Tracy, Erin, Ephraim, Anthony, Moses, Azarya, Khalen and Elyjah. Father-in-law Edward Bush OH and Step-mother Priscilla Gentry NC.  Sisters-In-laws Jacqueline Davenport (Rick) CA, Erika Bush OH and Tobi DeScott (Michael) OH. The many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and extended family.

Guye Lloyd Wilson

Guye Lloyd Wilson crossed over to be with his heavenly father on Saturday April 1st, 2017 at the age of 85. His parents, Rosa Lee Stevenson, Guye Lloyd Wilson Sr. His wife Juanita Wilson and his brothers, Alonzo Randall and John Hardy, predecease Guye.

His children Barron Wilson of Apple Valley, Guy Williams of Apple Valley, Rosalind Williams of Apple Valley, Jeff Williams of Apple Valley and Sheliah & Shaun Cole of Sacramento survive Guye. Guye is also lovingly remembered by the apple of his eye and the loves of his life - his grandchildren, Christian Wilson, Cameron Wilson and Jessika Wilson of Apple Valley.
His brother Albert Randall of Eastvale, Hilda Bailey of Encino, Annette Chambers of Sacramento and James Stevenson of Lake View Terrace and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives lovingly remember him.

Guye was born in Newellton Louisiana in 1931.
Guye Accepted Christ at 8 years old; he attended St. Marks Baptist Church, Vicksburg MS. He remained until passing a faithful solider for Christ as a Dedicated Member of United in Christ Baptist Church in Apple Valley CA under Pastor Patrick D. Foy.

 Guye graduated from Bowman High School High in Vicksburg Mississippi in 1949.
After graduating from High School Guye Served in the U.S. Army and fought on the front lines in the Korean War from 1950-1953 as a 1st class sergeant, earning 3 Bronze Stars, The United Nations Peace Medal, The Korean Service Medal, and The National Defense Medal of Honor.

After his military service in 1953 he moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked for Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. He later married Juanita Wilson and moved his family to Sacramento, California in 1968.

He later went on to earn a Degree in Business Administration from St. Stephens Bible College in 1978. He was a driven entrepreneur owning such businesses as a clothing store, fish market, restaurant, record store, beauty shop, beauty supply company, and real estate firm and mortgage brokerage. Guye enjoyed sports; he was very involved in the governance of his children’s Little League and Pop Warner programs serving both as League President and Board Member. Guye had an insatiable love for The Los Angeles Lakers. If Kobe was playing-“ please don't bother me”. Guye also enjoyed attending church and advocating for the youth of his community.

He was certainly the leader of his immediate and extended family as he led the annual Family BBQ’s and Gatherings every Memorial Day and Fourth of July. He took extreme pride in being the proverbial Patriarch of a family in which be brought from desolate Newellton Louisiana to Los Angeles California with the hopes of establishing new frontiers and brighter opportunities.  After a successful career and life in Sacramento, Guye retired in Apple Valley, Ca.

 In 2012 Guye was honored by Congressman Buck McKeon with A United Stated Flag that had been flown over the United States Capital in commemoration of his service and community involvement.
  
 The visitation will be held at United in Christ Baptist Church, 13580 Nomwaket Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92308 on March 17, 2017 at 9:00 am.  Guye’s Memorial Service will also be held at United in Christ at 10AM on March 17, 2017 immediately following the visitation.
Final Committal (Burial) will take place at The Veterans National Memorial Park in Riverside California. At: 1: 15 PM

Jesus Melendez Montes, nacido en Zamora, Michoacan, el día 27 de Septiembre de 1938. Se fue a reunir con el señor su Díos, sabado 1ero de Abril 2017, a la edad de 35 años y meses (un chingo). Le sobreviven, su esposa Lupe, sus hijos Irma (Jesus), Mary, Rosy (Martin), Juan (Alma), Jesse (Rosa) y Martha (Carlos), 18 nietos y 6 bisnietos. Sus hermanos, Emilio, Lupe, Esther, Lucha, Toño (Maria Luisa), Alejandro (Audelia) y sobrinos. Chuche ya descansa en paz junto a sus padres Jesus y Soledad, hermanos Carlos y Martha, su suegra Angelina, cuñado Luis y su sobrino Benji. Chuche era un hombre muy honorable, alegre, bromista, platicador, buen, consejero y trabajador. Le gustaba leer, cantar, bailar y cocinar. Apasionado al futbol y frontenis, su equipo favorito Chivas. Muy devoto a su religion Catolica. Como esposo era muy cariñoso, responsable y era síempre el núcleo de la familia. Como padre era jugueton, amoroso, detallista, comprensivo, que siempre estuvo ahi, un buen ejemplo a seguir. Era un hombre que cualquier persona que lo conocia o trataba lo llegaba a querer, respetar y nunca lo olvidaban. Fue un padre ejemplar para sus hijos, hermanos, nueras y yernos. Un gran apoyo para sus padres, nietos, sobrinos, amigos, y demas familiares. Lo extrañaremos siempre!
