Cruz Maria Arnett

March 15, 1931 - June 25, 2017

Born March 15, 1931 and passed away at the age of 86 on June 25, 2017.

Cruz was the beloved mother of son, Larry Arnett and daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Ruben Moreno of Hemet, CA, sister to Lionor Esquivel of Moreno Valley and brother, Steven Vera of Bakersfield.  She is also survived by grandchildren Austin, Aubree and Preslee Arnett, great-grandson, Kingston and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cruz lived in Hemet since 1978.  She also lived in Belfast, ME, Las Vegas, NV, Bakersfield, CA and Pixley, CA.  She was a sales lady in several Hemet jewelry stores, she loved to cook, sew, and do her ministry.  She was also a devout Jehovah’s Witness since 1952 and her hope is in the future resurrection here on earth. 

Memorial services will be held July 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 26795 Columbia St. Hemet, CA

Juana Luevano was born in Colton, CA on March 30, 1932 to the parents of Ignacia & Manuel Dominguez. She is survived by her son Richard Dominguez, her grandsons Ricky Jr. and Jason Dominguez. She had four great grandchildren.
She was an active and loyal member of San Salvador Catholic Church. She was also an active participant in the Bereavement Grupo De Oracion.
Teni worked as San Bernardino Medical Center for 30 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, she worked in various departments of the hospital. She was a very dependable and hard working person.
Some of the things she enjoyed were dancing, listening to music, doing embroidery, but most of all eating her chocolates from See’s Candy.
Services will be held on July 11, 2017 at San Salvador Church:
                Viewing 10:00am - 10:30am
                Rosary    10:30am – 11:00am
                Mass       11:00am – 12:00pm.

Burial immediately following at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery.
Jacqueline “Jackie” Rutherford

April 25, 1924 - June 25, 2017

 Jackie Rutherford, 93, of Colton, CA, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2017, after a long battle with COPD. 


Born Jacqueline Dorothy Nay in Chicago, IL and raised in rural Phoenix, AZ by her Swedish grandmother, she moved to Long Beach, CA in the 1940s after finishing high school.  While living in Long Beach Jackie worked as a veterinarian technician and volunteered at the USO dances during World War II.  She met and married car dealer, Charles Weidell, also of Long Beach, in 1951 and they had two daughters. Jackie began a long career in finance in the 1950s after her divorce, retiring from her last position as an Accountant for the Associated Students office at the University of California, Riverside in 1991.  She married Joe Rutherford in the 1970s and is his widow.  Jackie will be remembered for her beauty, intelligence and dry wit.  She was an excellent writer and lover of poetry, and a voracious reader. She loved music and film, and she had a special knack with animals and gardening.  She was also a strong and determined single parent, a devout Lutheran, and a proud Swedish American. Her 2 children, her sister, and 8 nieces and nephews survive her.

William Stuart Bishop

William “Bill” Bishop went to be with the Lord after fighting his battle with cancer.  He passed away peacefully at his home in Riverside, CA on June 23, 2017. Bill was born in St. Louis, MO on Sept. 7, 1938.  He is survived by his wife Pamela; children Joseph, Michael, Rebecca, Deborah, and Elizabeth and step-children Rachelle and Ryan, sisters Christy and Margaret. Also19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Frances, as her friends know her, was born on December 17, 1926 in Fresno, California
She was married to Alfonso Estrada on January 11, 1947 and remained married 
until his passing on February 22, 2000.

Her brother Paco Martinez.

Richard Anthony Morrison Sr.

March 29, 1960 - June 5, 2017

Age 57 - passed away with heart complications. Loving son of Barbara Morrison, Hemet and Robert Allan Morrison, Sr. (deceased). Richard was born in Vallejo, Ca, grew up in Sacramento, CA.  He graduated from Luther Burbank High School, attending Ca State University, Sacramento; worked in various maintenance and hotel positions, holding an HVAC license.

Richard is survived by his loving sister, Lauri Gurley of South Lake Tahoe, his big brother, Allan Morrison (Alicia Jaime-Razo); his estranged wife, Heather, his devoted son, Richard, Jr, his daughter, Krystal Ann and granddaughter, Alyssa Jayde, all of Sacramento.  Also his sisters-in-law, several nieces,  nephews and cousins. 


A multiple stroke victim, Richard came to live in Four Seasons, Hemet, with mom and step-dad, Tony Roberts.  Richard was a giving, loyal friend to many.  Always willing to help out anyone and everyone who needed a place to stay or a helping hand.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Richard was a Donor to One Legacy so in death he again is helping others.  His ashes will be brought to Northern California.

Betsy Creswell

Betsy Creswell, 84, of La Habra, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2017, after a brave, 6-month battle with brain cancer. 

Born in San Diego in 1933, she married Jim Creswell, also of San Diego in 1951. They raised their children in Bellflower while Jim worked in the aerospace industry and then moved to La Habra in 1999. They were married for 59 years until Jim’s death in 2011. Betsy was a choir member, Bible Study Fellowship leader, devoted church member, enthusiastic reader, traveler, and a loving mother. She is survived by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. 

Her memorial service will be held Friday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at EV Free Church, 2801 N. Brea Blvd., Fullerton, in the chapel.
