Maria Luisa Cuevas
Maria Luisa Cuevas, long-time Colton resident, passed away
on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center at the
age of 94. She was the daughter of Paula and Juan Rios who preceded her
in death.
She was a loving daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother,
great-grandmother, cousin, and friend. She was a strong, caring,
hard-working woman who loved her family very much. She was one of two
family matriarchs. She worked as a citrus packer at the Blue Banner
Packing Company of Riverside for more than twenty years.
She is survived by one sister, Elena Martinez, of Colton;
four children: Roberta Partida-Orosco of Colton, Mary Lou Romo of Bullhead
City, AZ, Roberto L. Partida Jr. of Hesperia, and Armando L. Partida of
Bakersfield. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve
great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be held at Hermosa Gardens Mission Chapel
on Thursday, December 28th, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Rosary
at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at San Salvador Catholic
Church located at 175 W. K St. Colton, CA 92324 at 10:00 a.m. with
burial to follow at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery located at 900 Meridian Ave. Colton, CA 92324.
