Josephine Alejandro Garcia

February 19, 1930 - January 20, 2018

Josephine was born in Mission, Texas to Francisco and Geneveva Alejandro.

She was married for 28 years to Dr. Ralph A. Garcia, who was a Methodist Minister. Josie’s hobbies were cooking, bowling, and she loved to sew. She made all of our clothes when we were young. But she really enjoyed visiting her relatives and cousins, sitting around the dinner table drinking coffee, good conversation, and especially Mexican Bread, even on her last day before being called up to be reunited again with her family since she was the youngest of her family.

Josie is predeceased by her husband Ralph and daughters Lizz and Yolanda. Josie is survived by her son Ralph Jr., 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She loved being involved with the church and was a very organized woman. She will be missed by everyone, especially by the many who called her Grandma and the relatives who called her Aunt Josie as well as Mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00 pm, at the Claremont United Methodist Church with a reception to Follow.
