Evan Dane Davis

October 14, 1930 - January 11, 2019


Evan Dane Davis died peacefully at his home in Riverside, California surrounded by his loving family and two cherished dogs. He passed away on January 11th 2019. He was 88 years old.

Dane was born to Fred Bryan Davis and Nora Elizabeth McMaines Davis on October 14th, 1930 in Lebanon, Indiana. He was preceded in death by brothers Blaine, Harley and Dale Davis.

Dane is survived by his daughters Lisa Elkins, Dana J. Davis, Debbie Hinds, Tonia J. Stadler (honorary), his sons Rick and Ron Davis, his sister Bette Fleming, his brother Ken Davis, son in-law Paul Elkins, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and nieces and nephews.

Dane was a graduate of Dover High School in Dover, IN. He married his first wife and had one daughter and two sons in Indiana. He moved to California in 1959 where he met the love of his life, Twila J. Davis, and had two more daughters. Dane worked as a finish carpenter for over 70 years on countless projects including Disneyland attractions, iconic buildings in Los Angeles, overseas projects, and others. He was always meticulous in the quality and efficiency of his work.

A celebration of life memorial will be held in Dane’s honor on February 2nd at 1:30PM. The location of the memorial is the Arlington Mortuary 9645 Magnolia Avenue, in Riverside, CA 92503. In lieu of flowers a charitable contribution is suggested in Dane’s memory to the American Heart Foundation or another charity of your choice.
