Marthena Stemwedel

May 17, 1924 - January 23, 2019

Marthena Stemwedel passed away Januaray 23, 2019 after a long period of poor health.

She was born in Logansport, Indiana in 1924 to William and Florence Morris. When she was three, her family moved to Riverside, California. 

Marthena continued to live in Riverside for most of her life, except a short period in Oakland, California in the 1940's. She married Donald Stemwedel in 1950 and four years later they were blessed with their daughter, Debra. They divorced in 1961.

Marthena loved candy and her career focused on either selling or making candy. Most people remember her as the blond who worked for Sees Candy at the Plaza for over 20 years.

Marthena is survived by her only daughter Debra Bereki of Fillmore, California. Her parent, brother Bob Morris, and sister Betty Barnhart Preceded her in death.
