James
Howard Crawford passed away at home in Colton, California on his
80th
birthday, Monday, February 11, 2019. He was
born in Pomona, California on February 11, 1939. Jim was the eldest child of long-time Colton
residents Wic and Kay Crawford. He is
survived by two brothers, Charles Crawford of Colton and Bill Crawford (Cris)
of San Mateo, California, two sisters, Barbara Drescher (John) of Hawshaw,
Wisconsin and Carole Englebretson of Surprise, Arizona and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his
brother-in-law Gene Englebretson.
After
graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, Jim served with the U.S. Army Reserves. Afterwards, he began his 44 year career with
San Bernardino County, working as a probation officer, serving mostly in the
Barstow area.
A
graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at 10 AM at Hermosa
Cemetery in Colton. In lieu of flowers,
