Louis Francis Gemba
April 20, 1954 - June 23, 2019
Louis Francis Gemba of Upland, California, died peacefully
at home after a short battle with cancer on June 23, with his loving wife
Agnieszka by his side. He was born on April 20, 1954 in Boston, Mass - son of
Louis A. Gemba and the late Antoinette (Campenella) Gemba; father of twin daughters
Nicolle and Valerie of East Boston, Mass; brother of Anthony R. Gemba of
Sharon, Mass and Helen Leonard of New Hampshire; uncle to Elizabeth, Sarah,
Anthony, Thomas, Regina, Gregory and Benjamin.
Louie grew up in Westwood, Mass, graduated from Westwood
High School in 1971 and attended Northeastern University, graduating in 1984
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management while employed by Cummins North
Atlantic. He studied Traffic Control and took pilots lessons at Wiggins
Airways in Norwood, Mass.
He later relocated to Upland, California, where he worked at
the Claremont Library and where he met his wife of fourteen years, Agnieszka.
The two of them celebrated their matrimony at the local library in
Montclair on July 29, 2005.
Louie spent many successful years working for First American
Title Company as a Title Coordinator and Data Quality Analyst, and later for
Carrington Mortgage Service as Property Preservation Specialist.
Louie was an avid reader and sports figure statistics
expert. His hobbies were book collecting and photography.
