Chris was born in Glendale, CA and was adopted by William and Ruth Bogart. His twin sister, Christine,
was also adopted by William and Ruth Bogart. Chris lived in the Los Angeles County area for most of his
life. When he was 18 years old, he met his future wife, Donna Phillips. On April 8 th , 1968, he joined the
Army. He served until March 28, 1970 mostly in Germany working in the motor pool. He moved back to
Los Angeles County and married Donna Phillips on April 10 th , 1970.
He and Donna were married for 50 years and resided in Perris Ca from 1983 until 2020. They had 2
daughters together, Lisa Bogart-Warwick and Stephanie Bogart-Bennett. Lisa is married to David
Warwick. Stephanie is married to Andrew Bennett.
Chris and Donna have 3 grandchildren. Unfortunately, one of their grandchildren, Ashley, passed shortly
after her birth. The other 2 grandchildren are Jacob, 22, and Sierra, 13. All three grandchildren were
born to Lisa.
His career of choice was videographer. On one of his shoots he had to hang from a hang glider. Some of
his work included the Iditarod sled dog races in Alaska and Colorado. He did some videography work for
San Manuel Casino. He filmed interviews with John Ritter, Dale Evens, Randy Travis, and Stephanie
Powers to name a few.
Other than videography, he has worked as a truck driver and he had his own business as a welder prior
to moving to Perris Ca. He sold his welding business shortly after relocating to Perris.
He was a huge fan of science fiction. He loved to watch the Big Bang Theory and the Firefly series.
He went into respiratory failure in 2014 and was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disorder). He has fought a tough battle for the last 6 years. We know that he is watching over us and we
miss him dearly. Rest in Peace.
