Marylou Gilbert

Mary Lou Gilbert age 76 of Bloomfield, New Mexico passed
away on Aug 23, 2020. Born in Gallup, New Mexico on February 10, 1944. She was
one of 5 children born to Estevan V. Gonzalez and Rita M. Gonzalez. Survived by
her husband, two daughters, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. As a
child she moved from New Mexico to Corona, California where she grew up and
married our father Douglas Gilbert. They were married for 59 years.
She was a strong, loving, independent and determined woman. She had a strong character but the most loving soul anyone could ever have. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to dance, play cards, play bingo and go to the casino. We will remember the traditional Christmas tamale making and her cooking. She was generous and always willing to do for others that she wouldn’t do for herself. She was a remarkable woman that will truly be missed. She asked for tears not to be shed for she would be with the Lord in internal life. We will forever in our hearts be grateful of the wonderful love and memories she has given us. May she rest in peace
