Maria Luisa Partida

AKA as María la Gallera, Marcia, Gorda, Mi Reyna, Grandmucha, La Gata, Grams, or simply just Mamma. Born October 21,1933 in Jalisco México. She was the daughter of Ursullo & Maria Ibarra, very much loved by her brother Antonio & sisters, Socorro, Julia, Beatrice, Lupe & Zulma. Maria came to the US when she was just 15 years old seeking a better life for herself, where she landed her first job as a waitress. Years later she met and married Alfonso Partida at age 21, they quickly started a very large family of 9 Isabel, Rose, Alfonso, Connie, Tony, Javier, Arlene, Andy & Maryann. Maria took a lot of pride in being a mother and homemaker, she was a good strong hardworking mother Maria’s Hobbies were gardening and sewing she loved making the cutest summer dresses for her girls as well as hemming or patching jeans for her boys In 1972 Maria and Alfonso moved their family into their first purchased home in the city of Corona. After the passing of her husband Alfonso in 1985 Maria took on caring and loving for her children as a strong widow. She lived in their family home for a total of 49 years, where she made many beautiful memories and friendships with her neighbors. Grams had 35 grandchildren and 74 great grandchildren. She loved and adored all of them. She gave them all nicknames and rarely called them by their real names. Family unity was very important to Mamma. she loved attending family parties to celebrate, tell stories and give occasional scolding as needed. Marcia Loved to go shopping with her girls and would highly encourage them to buy what they wanted. Gorda had a beautiful garden and often showed her boys the secrets to maintain. She was gifted with a green thumb. Our Reyna was a beautiful soul inside and out and took pride in her appearance. Mamma was well loved and respected by everyone.
