John William Carter 

Dec. 27, 1927 - April 28, 2021 

John was born in Muscatine, Iowa. He served in the US Air Force and the US Navy. He was working for Chuck Obershaw when he met the love of his life Barbara Margaret Salazar in May of 1956. He was instantly in love and they were married in September of 1956. They had 3 children; Lisa Marie, John William Jr. and Mary Frances. John was a truck driver, a Ford mechanic, and then worked for Redlands-Yucaipa Rentals as manager of the rental yard for many years. He loved animals and was the best dad ever. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara of 45 years in 2001. He is survived by his 3 children; Lisa, John Jr. (Murrietta), Mary, 6 grandchildren; Lydia, Monica, Gina, Alfredo III, Shane, and Gilbert, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held on June 9th at Inland Memorial Mortuary, Hermosa Cemetery at 900 N. Meridian Ave, Colton 92324 from 10am-12 noon. Burial is at Riverside National Cemetery from 1:00-1:30pm.
