Ronald Edward Mason
Ronald Edward Mason burst into the world like a ray of light on June 27, 1941 and took that light with him when he passed away on June 6, 2021 in Upland, California.
He was born in Lansing, Michigan to Everett and Christine Mason. At eighteen, he enlisted in the Navy, and while home after boot camp, he met the love of his life, Lynn Braun. They married and eventually had two daughters, Tammy (nee: Tamala) and Rondi who rounded out their little family.
Life wasn’t always easy, but as long as they were together, they made it work.
During his life, he was many things to many people…Son, Husband, Dad, Uncle, Papa, Brother-in-law and Friend…and he gave each of those roles his all. If you knew him, you knew he lived, laughed and loved with all he was.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Everett and Christine, and his granddaughter, Larissa Johnson, who we are sure were waiting to hug him tight.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn, his two daughters: Tammy Petroff (Ed Elliott) and Rondi Johnson (Michael), grandchildren, Travis Petroff, Karl Petroff (Tyra), Clarissa Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Melissa Angelillo (Paul) and great grandchildren Mason, Dakota and Izzy.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and a smile that could light the way on the darkest of nights.
His wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
He will be forever loved and forever missed.
