Harry Brown Cadwell 
November 29,1924 - July 3, 2021

Harry Brown Cadwell of Apple Valley, California left this life on July 3, 2021. He was born November 29, 1924 in Pueblo, Colorado to Harry and Dorothy Cadwell. He joined the Army to serve in World War II and transitioned to the Air Force as it was developed, serving our country for 26 years, attaining the rank of major and doing crucial work within our missile program. While in the military he completed a bachelor’s degree in communications at UC Berkeley, a Masters of Engineering Administration (MEA) at The George Washington University, and a lifetime professional clear teacher’s credential at Chapman University. He also completed coursework at many universities and colleges including Harvard and Yale. After military retirement, he taught high school for another 14 years at Apple Valley High School. After retirement, he spent his time loving his family and adoring every new baby that was born. He was the rock of his family and an inspiration to everybody who knew him.  Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara, and his sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his three daughters: Michelle Cadwell Smith, Jeannine Abbott, and Allyce (Salvador) Castillo, five grandchildren: Amanda (Jon), Mark (Summer), Barbara (Bruce), Christina (Nick), and Stephanie (Brian) as well as ten great-grandchildren: James (Annalisa), Amber, Michael, Aidan, Annalyssa, Landyn, Finn, Avaline, Laykin, and Braxtyn. He will continue to be a shining light of accomplishment, determination and love to his family and will live in their hearts forever. Military funerals for both Harry and his wife Barbara will take place at Riverside National Cemetery at some point in the coming year.
