Todd E. Davis
August 13, 1960-February 7th, 2022
Todd E. Davis, age 61 of Foothill Ranch, California was peacefully received into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 7th, 2022 at City Of Hope, in Duarte, California following a valiant five year fight against cancer.
Born on August 13, 1960, the baby of seven natural children to parents NJ & Shirley Davis. Later, following a second marriage, he gained 6 additional siblings, for a total of 13.
He attended schools in Vassar, Caro, Marletta and Shepherd before ending up in Saint Louis where he graduated in 1978.
He enlisted in the US Marine Corps before he graduated high school and completed basic training boot camp at Camp Pendleton. He served in duty stations in North Carolina, Okinawa, and the Philippines, before landing at his final duty station at San Diego Marine Corps Recruiting Depot.
He met his future wife on a blind date set up by close friends in the Corps. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary last October 5, 2021. They are members of Saddleback Church – Lake Forest.
Following discharge, Todd began his career in the commercial transportation industry starting as a driver and moving into logistics management of large fleets and driver training.
Their daughter joined the family in 2004 at 5 1/2, and since that time Todd was instrumental in the family adopting many additional 4 legged fur babies. Currently 3 dogs, Diego, Donny, and Buster Brown, plus 2 cats-Peanut and Delilah (aka Queen Latipha - she's in charge of all five).
Todd enjoyed his family, friends, and pets. His hobbies were playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, camping, bowling, and gardening. He was also a very good cook.
His graveside service will be held on Wednesday March 9th 2022 at 10:15 am at Riverside National Cemetery in California. Following the services, there will be a celebration of his life at a local restaurant to be announced later, and graciously planned and hosted by Alan & Debbie Cobb. The services will be zoomed to family and friends across the country who would like to see it, but cannot attend in person.
Preceded in death by his mother, Shirley (Hunt) Best, father, N.J. Davis, step-mother, Donna Davis, brothers Roger Davis and Robert Davis, sister Tammy Davis, sister-in-law's Shelley Davis and Brenda Davis, and father-in-law Jim Cobb.
Todd is survived by his wife, Denise, daughter Elyse, siblings Raymond (Cindy) Davis, Neil (Wendy Stephens) Davis, Pam (Paul) Whiskeyman, JoEllen (Bob) Persyn, Cathy Davis, Vicki (Gary) Goudie, Charles Davis, Kim (Joe) Higgins, Tim (Sari) Davis, and sister-in-law Erika Davis. He is also survived by his beloved mother-in-law, Marilyn Cobb, brother-in-law, Alan (Debbie) Cobb, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was a very fine man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need and he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
