Daniel Sutherland

December 31, 1963-May 4, 2022

 Daniel Sutherland of Riverside passed away May 4th at the age of 58 after a heroic battle with colon cancer. Born in Santa Ana, to Terry and Ruth Sutherland, Dan grew up in Orange and graduated from Orange High School in 1982.   He married his wife Cheryl in 1987 and they moved to Riverside in 1989 where they raised two daughters and built a wonderful life together. Dan was so proud of his girls and loved his family above all else.

Dan lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed travel, golf, cars and music. He was a life long sports fan and especially enjoyed baseball, football, and hockey. His favorite teams included the Minnesota Vikings, New York Islanders and Oakland A’s and he was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. 

Dan was pre-deceased by his father Terry.  He is survived by his wife Cheryl , daughters Taylor and Jessica, sisters Linda Stephan (John) and Cheryl Herndon (Steve), mother Ruth Ann, several nieces and nephews, beloved dogs Coco and Mocha and a wealth of friends. He definitely left us much too soon and will be missed by many.
