Lillian Dorothy Francis-Thurston
August 24, 1954-October 24, 2022
Lillian Dorothy Francis-Thurston passed to the otherside on Oct, 24th, 2022 at home in Hemet, CA. Lillian was born on the 24th of Aug 1954 in Quebec Canada to Jean Marian Tustian and Ivan Francis. When Lillian was five years old she immigrated to the US with her mother on July 31, 1959 and was then raised in Santa Barbara Ca.
Lillian enjoyed all the jobs she ever had. In her younger years she was a legal secretary and drove a huge motorcycle back and forth to work each day. This was when women rarely rode motorcycles. Lillian didn't care what anybody thought of her. If Lillian enjoyed something she would just do it. Later on in life Lillian became a long haul truck driver and had to deal with some flack from male truck drivers but she loved to drive and would take their comments in stride. She was so good spirited. After her truck driving days and after her husband Chet retired Lillian would drive cross country in a motorhome for enjoyment.
Lillian was a self taught professional photographer and would photograph horse shows. Lillian loved horses and had several throughout her lifetime. She fell in love with Purvian Paso horses and had one Purvian Paso name Despo that gave her so much love and joy. Lillian had so much joy when she would talk about being around the horse community around Riverside County. The horse community meant so much to her.
Lillian is survived by her husband Chester Thurston III, her brother Ted Hotchkiss and her sister Jean Hotchkiss
