Edna Catherine Velthoen

Edna Catherine Velthoen passed away peacefully in Hemet, CA on February
17, 2023 at the age of 94. Edna was born on June 21,1928 in Norco,
California to Charles and Mary Johnson, two Scandinavian immigrants.
Throughout her life, Edna always took pride in her community, raising a family
in the Corona/Norco area, as well as participating in civic life. She began
work as administrative support at the Corona Chamber of Commerce, moving
up the ranks to the general manager position for many years, eventually
taking on a similar role at the Norco Chamber of Commerce as well. She took
pride in working with local businesses as well as elected officials within her
community. She was a consummate host who loved to cook and entertain, an
avid world traveler, a devoted grandmother, and as her family knew all too
well, a particular knack for catalog shopping. She is survived by her son
David, her three grandchildren (Quinn, Joshua, and Aline), and two great-
grandchildren (Cora and Blake).
