Robert Smith 
March 5th, 1946 - May 28th, 2023

 Robert “Bob” Smith, 77, of Colton, passed away May 28, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born March 5, 1946, to Antonio and Petra Smith of Colton, CA.  He graduated from Colton High School in 1964 and soon after proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force where he was honorably discharged in 1969.  He worked as a signal maintainer for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired after 35 years of service. 

Bob is survived by his three children, RoseAnn Wheeler and husband Jim, Vanessa Smith, and Robert Smith Jr.; four grandchildren, Briana, Matthew, Christian, and Jeremy; siblings Joesph, David and wife Yolanda, Charles and wife Sylvia, Patricia, and Benjamin, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lupe Smith in 2013; siblings Andrew, Anthony Jr., Victoria, and Raymond.

Bob will be remembered by many as a man of few words, but when he did speak, he was friendly, funny, and smart.  He was a hardworking man who spent most of his life working to support his family so they had everything they needed.  In the end, he enjoyed the simple things, such as spending time with his family, his dogs, and cats, listening to music, and having that strong cup of coffee in the morning.  He will be deeply missed.

Services will be held at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery on June 15, 2023, at 9 AM, all are welcome.
