William Bernard Grant 

October 12th, 1939 - May 27th, 2023

William “Bill” Grant passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Ontario, CA.  Bill was a loving husband to Otha for 52 years.  He was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He served in the US Marine Corps from 1959 -1965 .  He stood by the motto, “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”, and lived by the Marine Corps code of conduct throughout his life.  Bill owned and operated California Hydraulics, Inc. in Rialto, California for 37 years.  He was known for his love of animals, especially dogs, and he rescued many throughout his life.  Family and friends used to joke that if they came back after passing away, they wanted to be one of Bill Grant’s dogs.  Bill also had a love for restoring classic cars, and had a shop built behind his business for the sole purpose of pursuing this hobby.  In his later years, when he could no longer make the trip to his shop, he would tinker around the house, working on projects in his workshop.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Rest easy, Cpl. Grant.  You have earned your reward.
