Donna E. Green

Donna, born June 13, 1943 to the parents of Clara and Harold Green in Gary, Indiana, was the first of their eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
After high school and college, Donna served her country as a US Navy Corpsman in the Bay Area of California. Leaving the Navy, Donna began her career as a US Postal worker. She lived in Berkley, California for over 40 years. After 36 years as a Postal worker, she retired. Never content to sit still, however, Donna worked as a School Crossing Guard for Berkley Unified School District for approximately 14 years.
Donna was passionate about her family, her friends, traveling, and fishing. She really enjoyed fishing and teaching ‘newbies’ how to fish. Indeed, she was known by her friends & family throughout the Bay Area and Southern California as the “Fishing Queen.”
Donna received her wings at home in Jurupa Valley, CA. She left this earth peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones.
Donna is survived by her two sisters: Judy of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Mary (James) Missouri City, Texas; two brothers: Robert aka Bobo (Nora) Hayward, CA; & Ronnie of Missouri City, Texas; her best friend and traveling buddy, Esther Hayes, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
