Maria Elena Mendoza/Leos “Mari” age 77, of Upland,
California passed away on Tuesday, July 4 th , 2023.
It is with great sadness that friends and family of Mari
shared that she passed away, after suffering heart failure.
She is preceded in death by parents Inez “Tito” and
Aurora Mendoza and her son David Segura.
She is survived by her Daughter Laurie Segura (Michael
Jacoby) Upland, CA, Son Joseph Segura Upland, CA,
Grandchildren: Christopher, Nicole, Ryan, Brian, Cindy
and Crystal. Great-Grandchildren: Jacob, Julie, Levi and
Nixon. Lifelong family friend: Keith Hewitson.
Mari was a Christian Woman who was very active in her
church, Jesus Alive Ministries. Pastor Larry Ulloa, had just
Ordained Mari, the Sunday before her passing. She was
honored to fulfill this role with confidence in her faith. Mari
was blessed with a beautiful singing voice; she loved
singing for Jesus and she was frequently invited to sing at
funerals. Mari was a Beautiful person inside and out. She
was very generous with her time and a faithful servant of
God. As a Christian, Mari “walked the walk and talked the
talk” She will be truly missed by her family, her Brethren in
Christ and her many friends.
