Michael T. Martinez

March 16, 1947 - September 22, 2023

Michael (Mike) Trinidad Martinez 76, of Tuscan Arizona passed away peacefully on
Friday, September 22, 2023 in Moreno Valley, California. Mike was born in Indio
California, raised in Riverside, California living much of his adult life in Tucson, Arizona.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Deena (Jose) Aguirre of Moreno Valley and Mia
McBride of Riverside, his sister Terry (Brian) McGhee of Riverside, and numerous
nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Trinidad and Celia Martinez, brothers Fred,
Victor, Ray and George Martinez.

Mike was a beloved grandfather and blessed with 7 grandchildren and 17 great
grandchildren.

Mike graduated from Norte Dame High School in 1965 and a member of the Catholic
Church. He served in the United States Army stationed in Baumholder, Germany.
Upon his return he attended Cal State San Bernardino attaining his Bachelors Degree in
Economics. He was employed by Bank of America as a loan officer for 10 years. Then
employed by General Dynamics for a number of years. He transferred to Tucson,
Arizona and employed by the Raytheon Company as a Financial Analyst for 30 years
retiring in 2017. In the early years when living in Riverside Mike’s second home was at
the Tournament House where he was known as “McGhee” on the racketball court. Mike
was a sports fan, he enjoyed all college sports and an avid UCLA fan. He enjoyed
reading creating an extensive library. He loved his music and has an huge collection of
CD’s and enjoyed attending numerous rock concerts over his lifetime.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on 

Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9:30AM at the 

Riverside National Cemetery
