Donald Stephen Stern

 I am heartbroken to announce the passing of my devoted husband, Donald Stephen Stern. He
passed away after a noble battle with cancer at the age of 72 on October 3, 2023.

He was my hero. He was everything to me. Donald always faithfully stayed by my side, through thick and thin, with dedicated love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity. Donald truly was a good man, unselfish and loyal. He was a quiet man, too, but he would constantly show me his love through his many actions.

Donald was a “Mountain Man" that loved nature. We enjoyed many
camping trips together. I have so many beautiful memories of our times together. Donald started skiing at a young age and had developed into a master skier. Every year he went on hiking, skiing and backpacking trips with his childhood friends that were like his brothers. His friends greatly enjoyed and respected him. Donald also loved animals. He even trained a squirrel in our backyard to crawl up Donald’s side and take a peanut from Donald’s pocket! Donald had raised many dogs in his lifetime. He and our dog, Bella, were inseparable {they were an adorable sight to see!}

Donald was very close to his family, and loved his niece, and 4 grandchildren like they
were his own. I am eternally grateful that God sent me Donald Stern to be my husband. I will
miss him forever! I have comfort knowing that he will no longer be in pain.
