Harvey Lee McNulty
February 13, 1935 - November 15, 2023
Harvey Lee McNulty, 88, of Riverside, CA was called Home to the Lord God on November 15, 2023 at 1:55 a.m. so he could be reunited with his loving wife Diana Angelina McNulty. Harvey was born on February 13, 1935 in Brookhaven, MS and was the only child of Joseph and Edna McNulty. Soon after his birth, his parents moved to Chicago IL, where Harvey was able to grow up with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins who migrated north in the 1940’s-1950’s. He grew up with a very close-knit family who are sad about his passing but are grateful he was able to live a long, happy, and beautiful life and no longer feels pain or has worries of his mortal life.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Maria McNulty-Beach and her husband Larry Allen Beach, currently living in Sagamihara Japan; son, Christopher Lee McNulty and his wife Tikesha Hearn-McNulty currently living in Gilbert, AZ; grandsons Khaliq McNulty and Khalil McNulty, of Ontario, CA; and multitudes of cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who reside mostly Chicago, IL, Gary IN, as well as Southern CA.
Harvey proudly served in the United States Air Force and served over 20 years. He received many awards and honors for his selfless service to his country as a Jet Engine Mechanic. Early in his career his duties had him travelling all over the world, many times separating him from his family for long periods of time. During his time in the USAF, he served in the war in Viet Nam during 1968-1969 and then continued defending the interests of the United States while serving in the Pacific at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines during the period of 1969-1974. He retired from the USAF as a Technical Sargeant at March Air Force Base, CA in August 1975. He continued working at various aircraft maintenance companies after retiring from the USAF and then started a new career, working for Santa Fe Railroad in San Bernardino, CA which he retired from in May 1997 after 20+ years of working there. He had a very strong work ethic and continued working after 2 careers.
The memorial mass for Harvey will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 7005 Brockton Avenue in Riverside, CA 92506 on Tuesday, 5 December 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518 at 1 p.m.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Jennifer Tapp at Inland Memorial Funeral Care Inc. (who is handling the funeral arrangements), St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Riverside CA, and Riverside National Cemetery.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
