Jason Wiseman Thorpe
October 15, 1954 - April 13, 2024
It is with great sorrow that on the 13th of April 2024 Jason Wiseman Thorpe took his last breath on this earth. He was 69 years old. During his life he resided mostly in Los Angeles with his final residence being in Panorama City Los Angeles County CA. Jason passed away on the 13th of April 2024 at the Kaiser hospital in Panorama City that evening at 9:21 pm from a massive heart attack. He was an integral part of historical downtown as the famous character Zorro, loved by millions and visited by thousands of tourists and locals from around the world, he made a difference. A personality unlike any other and a force to be reckoned with showing light and exuberance throughout his life. Loved for his excitement, vigor, and enjoyment for life, he was a wonderful man, father, and grandfather. An honored veteran serving in the Marine Corps, a man of many talents, skills and mastery of many, he was always seeking knowledge and leadership. Protector of all those that could not protect themselves and coined the man, the myth, the legend. Jason Wiseman Thorpe, you will be missed! Preceded in death by two grandmothers, Minnie Thorpe and Gladys Russell, father Linwood Ulysses Thorpe, and mother Audrey Richardson Sledge. Survived by two children, daughter Jennifer Marie Thorpe and son Jamar Alexander Thorpe, two brothers, Benjamin Steven Thorpe and Reginald Dennis Thorpe Sr., two sisters, Francine Sledge and Gladys Michelle Sledge, and three grandchildren, Dallas Marie Andrews, Brooklyn Alexander Thorpe, and Sadie Love Randolph Walker. As well as nieces and nephews, Regina Nsubuga, Reggie Thorpe Jr, Brandon Anthony Thorpe, Carmen Thorpe and Chauncey Blair. Along with a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
