Sally Sambrano
September 23rd,1945 - June 23rd, 2024

Sally Sambrano was born on September 23,1945 to Magdaleno and Florentina. Sally's father was an immigrant from Guanajuato, Mexico and her mother from Los Angeles, California. Sally's mother, Florentina passed away when Sally was 7 years old. Sally's step mother, known affectionately as Chavela, raised Sally and her six siblings in La Puente, California where she met and married her husband of 58 years Angel Sambrano Jr. in June 1965. Together they raised their five children in their home in Claremont, California. Sally was a devout Catholic and long time parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Claremont. Sally had a talented green thumb--she absolutely loved growing and caring for her plants and roses. Sally was an amazing woman with a kind heart. While working at Casa Colina’s Rehabilitation Center, she was asked "How can you work in such a sad environment?"--she simply replied, “One day we will all need to be taken care of.”  On June 23, 2024 Sally passed away. Surrounded by her husband and children, she went peacefully to her forever home. Sally is survived by her husband Angel, their 5 children Angel Sambrano III, Pete (Sylvia) Sambrano, Michael (Carmen) Sambrano, Yvonne (Hugo) Garcia, Yvette Sambrano, 8 grandchildren, and her siblings, Mary, Susie and Gilbert.
