Mary Lou Wheeldon Travis

September 8th, 1937 - February 10th, 2025

The Lord graciously called Mary Lou Wheeldon Travis home with open arms the tenth day of February 2025. She blessed us for 87 years as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, cousin, aunt, friend, grandmother, GG, coach, cook, teacher, driving instructor, care taker and Matriarch. From Stuart Iowa to the beach in California and everywhere between she adored her family and friends praying for their success and good fortune. You could find her shifting from Calvary Church to the football field and the Horse Track to the Golf course, the biggest sports fan took her final sleep after Super Bowl 59. Her country roots kept her humble with deep fried everything with gravy listening to Garth and Celine and watching the Duke. A heart that big couldn't fit in a frame that small any longer. She is survived by her 4 sons Jim, Kevin, Jeff and Keil who have surrounded her with admiration and laughter and grandkids from Alaska to Texas. 4 generations after her will continue living her legacy to continue to “Be a good person and know the lord”. She is now embraced by her father, siblings, friends and grand daughter that have gone before her to let her love be limitless.
