Patty Jean Johnson

September 11, 1945 - February 02, 2025 

Patty Jean Johnson of Upland, California, passed away peacefully on February 2nd, 2025 after a day surrounded by close friends and family. Born to William and Ann MacKenzie of Omaha, Nebraska on September 11th, 1945, she was the youngest of two with her older sister Mary Jo. She graduated high school from Central High in Omaha, Nebraska and would attend some college courses before settling down with her first husband. Although her first husband sadly passed too soon, she was able to find love again when she met Joey Johnson. They married on May 21st, 1965 and shared 59 years of wedded bliss together before Joe’s passing. Close family could always attest to the deep love the two shared for each other and Patty was described by friends and coworkers as a diligent worker and exceedingly kind hearted. She is survived by her two children, Julie Maloney and Scott Johnson, and her four grandchildren, Kyle, Kory, Olivia, and Riley. Her passing was deeply felt by all those whose lives she touched and she will be remembered and cherished as a loving friend, mother, and grandmother and for her contributions to the public school system working as an instructional aide for Montclair High School for 30 years.
