Alice “Cookie” Contreras

May 2, 1935 – March 3, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice “Cookie” Contreras, who passed peacefully on March 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 89. 

Cookie was born in New Mexico on May 2, 1935, to Guadalupe and Ernestina Rodriguez. At an early age, Cookie moved to Colton, California where she resided until her passing. A loving, mother, daughter, niece, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother, Cookie was known and loved by family, friends and her many “sons” who affectionally called her mom.  She loved traveling, especially to the beaches of Southern California, but most of all she loved her family and many, many friends. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a mass on Wednesday, March 26, at 10:00 am at San Salvador Church in Colton.  Following the services, Cookie will be laid to rest at Hermosa Cemetery at 12:30 pm. A celebration of life reception will be held in her honor at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Colton at 2:00 pm.
