It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, and grandfather,
    Jose I. Loza.

Our dad was a beacon of light, whose life was defined by compassion and an unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Let us remember him not for his life's end, but for the profound way he lived and the impact he had on so many.

Dad was a gentle and unassuming man with a sly and, at times, morbid sense of humor. His laugh was so unique that it brought laughter to all who heard it. He was happiest playing his guitar and spending quality time with his family and friends. Dad was notoriously frugal with himself yet graciously generous with others. He approached everything with honesty and integrity and taught his daughters to be kind, saying, "It all comes back to us."

Dad was hard-working and dedicated, and despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family. We shared so many wonderful moments with Dad telling stories and laughing together, watching baseball games on TV or listening on the radio. In retirement, he enjoyed going to baseball games, visiting Disneyland, and spending time with his siblings. Sometimes, he had so much time on his hands that he jokingly took it out on the plants and trees at home, trimming them bare!

During the last years of his life in Anaheim, CA, he was treated with the utmost respect and lived like a king with one of his daughters.
Although Jose's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of compassion in all that we do, choosing to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, as Christ modeled for us.
