Marjean Louise Thomas

Marjean Louise Thomas, 82, born on December 31, 1942, and died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Pasadena, California. Marjean was a long-time resident of Upland, California.
Marjean started her career as a cashier. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of La Verne in May 1985 with a degree in accounting. Upon graduation she started MTA Accounting Services. In addition to providing accounting services, Marjean also taught Peachtree Accounting courses. She retired in 2015.
Marjean loved genealogy and exploring her Irish history. She could tell you every detail of her trip to Ireland in 2001, including finding where her family lived and worked, and the Presbyterian church where her great, great, grandparents were married. She also loved cats. Her photo albums are full of her cats, and her bookshelf was full of books about cats.
Marjean attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena for many years. When she moved to a new care facility for the final time, one of her requests was to be taken to church on the first Sunday of each month for communion service.
Survived by her daughter, Kathi (Helm) Amrhein, granddaughter, Amber (Thomas) Magee of La Grande, Oregon, niece Sandra (Kingan) Linares of Azusa, California, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Robert (Tom) Thomas, stepson, Scott Thomas, brother Robert (Bob) Kingan, and sister-in-law Ellen Kingan.
