Peggy Joyce Falconer
September 26, 1938 - July 29, 2025

Peggy Joyce Falconer, age 86, passed away July 29, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family and caretakers. She was born in Bradford, Arkansas on September 26, 1938, to George and Nora (Prysock) Anselmi.

Peggy was a long-time resident of Ontario, California where she built a life filled with family, friendship and community. Peggy expressed herself through drawing and writing. She was talented and crafty, though she’d never admit it. Her creativity showed up in the doodled smiley faces, stars, and hearts that decorated her greeting cards, and in the personalized poems she included in them. She never missed an occasion to send a card—birthdays, holidays, or just because. With fingers full of jewelry, she shared her individuality. With phone calls on speaker, she showed her love for others. She had the gift of gab and never turned down a call, often chatting for hours with friends and family about anything and everything. Peggy volunteered at the Ontario senior center, calling the “shut-ins” to brighten their day with a friendly voice and caring heart. She had a way of making people feel remembered and loved. Visiting Grandma’s house meant being gifted with enough trust to do practically anything. She could spot a second hand-deal before you knew she was even looking for one. She believed a good bargain was its own special victory.

Peggy was a fun and loving mother, grandmother, devoted wife, caring sister and friend. Her greatest joy was quality time spent with family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents George and Nora Anselmi; her brothers Raymond and Jimmy Anselmi, her sister Betty Bramlett, her husband Ivan Seth Falconer; her son Anthony Smith, her daughter in law Michelle Smith and her 3 great-grandchildren Gatlin Robert Smith, Wesson Michael Smith and Julia Marie Smith.

Peggy is survived by her sons Michael Smith and Stan Smith; her daughter-in-law Tracy Smith; her grandchildren Samantha (Nicolas) Canter, Cody (Jenna) Smith, Kyle (Bailey) Smith, Sydney Smith; her great-grandchildren Henry Cody Smith, Rossi Anne Smith and another on the way; many nieces, nephews and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
