Barbara was predeceased by her husband, John A. Carolan, and sons Patrick Carolan, Ted Carolan, and Tim Carolan. She is survived by her son John Carolan, Jr. (Karin); grandchildren Timothy Carolan, Tyler Carolan, Justin and Julie Daines, and Ian Carolan; daughter-in-law Jennifer DeLaurent Carolan; niece Jane Gillespie, and great-nieces Nicole, Christina and Lauren Gillespie.
Barbara was an avid cook, baker and gardener. She loved to knit, crochet and craft, often making custom jewelry for herself, and gifts for friends and loved ones. Barbara was a voracious reader and enjoyed writing and listening to opera. Her intellect, empathy, quick wit, and dry sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Barbara is laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario.
