Mardis Toni Fulwider, age 92, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Hemet, California.

Born on February 25, 1933, in San Francisco, California, to George and Idis Acton, Mardis spent her entire life in the state she loved. Over the years, she made her home in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Redway, and finally Hemet, always proud to be a lifelong Californian.

Mardis is survived by her three children: Elizabeth M. Allen (Gerald Harper), Yolanda C. Moreno, and Edward Moreno (Janet). She is also survived by five grandchildren—Celia Renteria Szelwach (Pete Sr.), Erika Renteria Carvalho (Luke), Michael Allen, Jean Clavette Graves (Drew), and Cristina King—and three great-grandchildren: Pete Szelwach Jr., Norah Carvalho, and Baker Graves.

Throughout her career, Mardis worked for the Southern California Gas Company before becoming a Realtor. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and golfing, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family and forever friends.

She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, caring heart, creativity, ‘dry humor’, positive attitude, and most of all for her unwavering love and devotion to those she held dear.
