Anna
Mae Drake Austin Robinson was born July 28, 1934 in New Iberia, Louisiana. God
called her home June 30, 2016. Anna was the oldest child of Cornelius and Agnes
Orphey Drake. Anna attended W.O. Boston High School. Anna always referred to a
story she read when she was younger where a man told a young man “Go West young
man Go West” Anna said when she was ready to leave Louisiana she did just that
headed west. Anna came to Los Angeles, California. That’s where Anna started a
new beginning. Paving the way for herself and her family Anna had 5 children
that she loved dearly and worked hard for. Family was very important to Anna.
Anna always told her Kids and Grandkids “Put God First”. Anna loved helping
others. So much that she became a nurse. Anna was a nurse for over 50 years.
Anna loved cooking as much as she loved a good ole pot of Gumbo. Anna also had
a restaurant named Anna’s Louisiana Seafood in Los Angeles. Anna was a very
strong God Fearing Woman. Anna attended West Angeles Church of God and Christ
in Los Angeles. Anna is survived by 4 kids, Son Barry Robinson (Kathy), Orange
County, CA. Daughter Karen Frank (Jeffery), Corona, CA. Son Earle Austin Jr.
(Marcella) Los Angeles, CA. Mark Austin Sr. Los Angeles CA. 4 siblings brother
Charles Drake, brother Matthew Drake, sister Gloria Perkins, sister Julia
Bellow all reside in Louisiana. 10 grandkids Kamilah Robinson, Katrena
Robinson, Barry Robinson, Bryan Robinson, Krysta Robinson, Sade Austin, Earle
Austin III, Alex Frank, Zolan Frank, Mark Austin Jr. 2 Great grandkids Damian
Gomez, Maleeq Robinson. Also a host of Nieces, Nephews , Family and Friends.
Anna proceeded in death by Father Cornelius Drake, mother Agnes Orphey Drake,
son Glen Robinson sister Bernadine Richard, sister Delores Perkins, sister
Shirley Jones, brother Marshall Drake, brother Earnest Drake and brother
Cornelius Drake Jr.
