Alfred Estrada Soliz

November 14, 1934 – September 15, 2016

Alfred E. Soliz passed away September 15, 2016 at the age of 81 from natural causes in Riverside, CA surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born November 14, 1934 to Hilario and Maria Soliz.   Alfred was one of thirteen children.  He is preceded in death by the love of his life Constance “Concha” Soliz and his son Christopher Larry Soliz Sr. He is survived by his remaining four children, Richard (Adela), Steve (Christine), Don (Rhonda), and Rebecca (Peter); eighteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild on the way.  Al as everyone called him worked for Norton then transferred to March Air Force Base where he worked for 33 years.   After retiring he picked up part time jobs at Bauman’s Hardware in Riverside and Rubidoux Hardware.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family on trips to Big Bear, Lake Tahoe and Solvang.  After his wife’s passing he took on the responsibility of taking care of his daughter’s three children which brought him great joy.  A Catholic mass will be held in Alfred’s honor on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10 am at Grace Bible Church, 2951 Central Avenue, Riverside, CA with burial following at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Mortuary and Memorial Park, 11500 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA.
