Ronnie Gene DeWeese
September 4, 1946 - July 22, 2017
Ronnie Gene DeWeese passed away peacefully July 22, 2017,
with his wife Sharla by his side.
Ronnie was born September 4, 1946 in Danville, Illinois to
Don Alvius DeWeese and Cora Abagail Freed DeWeese. After graduating from
Danville High School in 1965, he joined the US Air Force, where he proudly
served for four years. Ronnie and Sharla were married December 23, 1967, and
lived in Ramstein, Germany for a period of two years experiencing many happy
times visiting other countries.
When leaving the service in 1970, Ronnie began a career in
sales which lasted 45 years. While in Danville, he had been employed with Bohn
Heat Transfer, a division of Gulf and Western. He was quite the sales person
and enjoyed short business trips for the company. In the early 80’s, the family
moved from Danville to Clearwater, Florida. In 1986, the family moved to
Escondido, Ca. and in 1998 settled in Winchester, Ca. He had been employed with
The Home Depot until becoming disabled in 2004. They have remained in
Winchester, Ca. until his passing.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Sharla Ann Purviance DeWeese
of 49 and a half years; two sons, Randy DeWeese of Winchester, Ca. and Sean
DeWeese of Anchorage, AK.; two grandsons, Cody DeWeese of Menifee, Ca. and
Tylor DeWeese of San Diego, Ca. He is also survived by a sister, Donna Cox of
Sarasota, Fl.; two brothers, Larry DeWeese of Saint Joseph, Il. And Don Richard
DeWeese of Rossford, OH.
Ronnie had requested no service be held. The family requests
donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
