8/28/2017 (75 years, 11 mos, 6 days) in Ontario CA, after his battle
with stomach cancer.

Survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Karen K Herring Brother, Rex
Herring Sister in law, Gwenn Herring, Granddaughters, Alexandra and
Reagan Scott as well as Grandson, Nicholas Scott. (Although they are
step grandchildren he treated them as if they were his flesh and
blood) He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by parents Buell and Verna Herring and lost his (step) Son Paul Scott in January 2017. 

Joe served in the Army, was stationed in Ft Hood TX and Germany. He was honorably discharged; then immediately went to work at Norton AFB as a civil service firefighter where he worked for 30 years prior to retiring.

Joe was an avid animal lover and after retiring from the civil service he moved to Apple Valley in 1993 where he partnered with his wife Karen, mother in law Wanda, and many generations/individuals of the Antonucci family to successfully operate Luv m Kennels for the remainder of his days.

Joe was adored by his clients and their pets. Anyone who conducted business with him soon became a friend and was treated as family.  Joe was a very kind and humble spirit, very unassuming and non
judgmental, he saw the good in everything and in everyone. He was a "mommas boy".

Joe enjoyed playing pool and often participate in pool tournaments.  Making many many good friends along the way. Most men can count their good friends on one hand, but Joe needed a data base to track his friends. The family cannot recall one person that did not like him.  Joe enjoyed bull riding and rodeo. He loved arrowhead hunting and collecting with his dear friends.


Joe was always working outside and often said his "GOD" was "Out there".   Joe was an amazing award winning artist and painter. He got great joy out of creating one of a kind paintings or art pieces and lovingly handing those gems off to friends and family members.  Joe was very generous and charitable. He would give the shirt off his back if any animal or human needed it. He was def one of a kind.

Stella E. Harvey, born July 21, 1927 in Corona CA. Passed away August 28, 2017 at the age of 90 years old, at home in San Jacinto, CA.
She is survived by her son David Harvey and his wife Frances, grandsons Nicholas Harvey and Robert Whitman, great grandchildren Rainey, Ryder, and Gage. Her daughter Eileen Coronado and her husband Tony, grandson Clint Koons, great grandson Jonathon, grandson Travis Koons, his wife Nicole and great grandchildren Cadence and Caleb.
Stella lived in Norco, CA until moving to San Jacinto, CA in 1972. Stella loved children and working with them. She was a Sunday school teacher and youth leader at Corona First Church of God. She was instrumental in starting the Norco Girls Softball League in the 1960’s. She was an instructional aide at Victress Bowers School in Corona for many years until she transferred to Hemet Unified School district where she worked teaching special needs students until her retirement. She also attended and  was a Sunday school teacher at the Homeland Community First Church of God for many years.


She is reunited with her husband Howard Harvey and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Graveside service will be September 15, 2017 at 1:01 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA

Lee Ann Mickey

Lee Ann Mickey, 28-year resident of Azusa, CA and 12-year resident of Rancho Cucamonga, CA passed away on Wednesday, August 23, at the age of 78. Lee Ann was born on April 30, 1939 in Chula Vista, CA. She was born to Dean and Ruby Copp at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City and was their beautiful little girl. A few years later her mother gave birth to her brother Robert, the two of them would have a special bond over the years, and she always was by his side. Lee Ann resided in the Chula Vista, CA area for over 24 years where she attended Chula Vista High School and graduated in 1957. After graduation, she worked as a receptionist for CIT Corporation in San Diego, which is where she meet the man of her dreams Jack (James) Forrest Mickey Sr.  In 1963, Jack and Lee Ann were married and moved to Long Beach, CA to start their lives together and begin their family. On Dec 23, 1964 their first born James Forrest Mickey Jr was born at Long Beach Memorial Hospital then on April 18, 1966 their second child was born Stacey Lee Mickey at Long Beach Memorial. Their third and final child came along on April 27, 1968 Cameron Dean Mickey was born at Long beach Memorial. Together they purchased their first house on 2737 Locust Ave where they lived for 12 years raising their children. Lee Ann was a housewife at that time and loved to spend time with the kids. She was involved in the local PTA, Brownie leader and was a bowler. Lee Ann was in a bowling league for years and helped teach her children the sport as they grew up. James and Lee Ann always had a passion to own their own business. In 1976, they decided to move the family from Long Beach, CA to Azusa, CA and purchase the Colonial Motel starting their next chapter in life. For more than 24 years they would own the Colonial Motel and be heavily involved in the Local Community and the Chamber of commerce. With her Amazing personality, Lee Ann would build relationships with the other local business, communities and made the business a huge success over the years. After the passing of her beloved husband James in 2003, she moved out to the Rancho Cucamonga area in 2004 to be closer to her children and start a new chapter in her life. For many year’s she enjoyed spending time with the family, enjoying all of her friends and spending time at the grandchildren’s sporting events. In 2013, Lee Ann started having some medical issues where we thought she was not going to push through, but Lee Ann loved life to the fullest, fought the fight, and was a miracle to her family and doctors. Lee Ann’s battle ended on a beautiful Wednesday evening after spending time with all of her friends playing Bingo, cards and attending the peanut action God must have found the perfect day to bring her home to her husband James and our Father.

Lee Ann is survived by her son, James Jr. of Irvine; daughter, Stacey and son-in-law, Brent of Upland; son, Cameron and daughter-in-law, Deborah of Alta Loma; brother, Robert and Sister-in-law, Anne of Chula Vista. Her wonderful and loving grandchildren include, Amanda and her life partner Kristen, James III and wife Lexi, Janina and Bryant, Tyler and Fiancé Alissa, Brooke, Brittney and husband Eric, Courtney and Fiancé Andrew, Ashley & Chad. Private services will be held later with the family and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Lung Association in her name, to help continue to find a cure for Emphysema and COPD.
To a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Best friend. You have left this earth to be our Angel in Heaven along with Dad. You will never be forgotten, you will always be in our hearts – We love you Mom.

Marvin M. Shimel

Marvin M. Shimel, 88, a long time resident of Grand Terrace, has passed away in his home and joins his beloved wife, Virginia, who passed predeceased him five years ago.  Marvin was born in Nevada, Iowa, one of six children, to the late Amasa and Cora Shimel.

Marvin graduated in 1946 from Clemons High School in Clemons, Iowa and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force at age 17.  He served 3 years, returned to civilian life, but re-enlisted 6 years later in 1955.  Marvin served one year in Vietnam. His various duties in the audiovisual field as a motion picture technician consisted of providing combat intelligence and documentary photography for the Air Force.  It has taken him to 29 different countries including France, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Nairobi, Kenya, Thailand, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Morocco, Libya, Italy, and Greece (to name a few).  He finally retired after 23 years of service. 

Marvin leaves behind five children; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brothers Roy and Melvin; sisters Venita (Shimel) Blake, Margaret (Shimel) Cheville and Corrine (Shimel) Vint. 

Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 900 Meridian Ave.  Colton, CA 92324.  Interment will take place at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd.  Riverside, CA 92518. Reception will follow at the Norton Younglove Senior Center, 459 Center St.  Riverside

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Glen Edward Wodetzki, age 83, passed away August 19, 2017 in Redlands, California. Born May 11, 1934 in Danville, IL, Glen was the son of Lewis E. and Evelyn G. (Six) Wodetzki. According to his mother, he suffered scarlet fever as an infant which affected his development, and she assured members of Glen’s family that he would not live beyond his early 20s. However, none of this deprived Glen of the ability to work. He maintained his own newspaper route as a teenager and worked for his father at Ideal Alarm Company for a number of years. After the death of his father in 1967, Glen moved to California with his mother in 1970, and he remained in California the remainder of his life. After his mother died in 1978, Glen moved into a group home where he remained until a few months before his death. He worked regularly until he was no longer able, and he was always an active member of his group home community. He was often the supervisor of his housemates on outings and always helped to maintain order around the house. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Glen survived his brother Lewis and his sister Dorothy Rebenstorf. He is survived by his brother Richard Wodetzki of Sebring, FL, sister Joan Brittingham of Loma Linda, CA, sister Louise Cochran of Sun City Center, FL, eighteen (18) nieces and nephews, and many great nieces, nephews and cousins. Glen is interred alongside his parents at Greenwood Cemetery in Danville, IL.

Mrs. Lillian Catherine Green (nee Meuhlhans), born November 10, 1922 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was released to the Lord in the early morning of August 17, 2017 at the age of 94.
Lillian was born to Joseph and Marie (Theisinger) Muehlhans. She married Lawrence Migliore in 1942  (later divorced), they had two daughters, Christine and Vicki.

During WWII she worked at the P.O.W Camp in Florence, AZ. They moved to Southern California in 1953, where she worked in the defense industry for several years, before moving on to The Employment Development Dept for the State of California, retiring in 1983. In September 1962, Lillian married Charles Green, settling in Riverside County in 1983.
Lillian did many things with her long life, including teaching SRE classes at St. Pius in Buena Park & St. Vincent Ferrer, Sun City and received her Associates Degree in Social Psychology.  She also served one term as Elk's Ladies President .  She enjoyed bowling and playing the penny slots at the casinos and being a Red Hat member. An avid gardener she took great pride in her flowers and also enjoyed quilting and needlepoint. She also was a staunch fan of the Angels Baseball Team, having Season Tickets for about 30 years.

Lillian is survived by her  daughters Christine Stevens and Vicki Channell (Paul), 9 grandchildren: Julie, Alex, David, Darren, Andi, Tim, Carrie, Katie & Jaynee, 18 great grandchildren: Lisa, Jordan, Chad, Jackie, Eden, Mike, Joshua, Justin, Cole, Erik, Max, Danielle, Brianne, Kirsten, Natalie, Dominique, Sean & Zoey , and 5 great, great grandchildren and a sister Esther Friedman of Grapevine Texas. She was predeceased by Lawrence Migliore, a granddaughter Jamie Harrington, and husband, Charles Green, parents Joseph and Marie, brothers Tony and Erv and sister Catherine Remshek, Sisters in law Bernice, Pat & Winnie; brothers in law Stan & Arnold

A rosary and funeral Mass will be said beginning at 9:30 am on Sept 11th at St Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Menifee, CA and a private interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.  Friends and family may attend Mass and reception at the Elks Lodge in Wildomar, CA at 1:30 pm.

Karl W. Trisler, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend entered eternal life on 8-16-17 at the age of 61.

We remember with gratitude a very kind, creative, and devoted man.  Karl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, folk dancing, reading, taking care of his plants, camping in the desert, and taking part in local plant shows.  He was a long time member of the Riverside – San Bernardino Counties Orchid Society and the Gates Cactus and Succulent Society.  He also was an accomplished artist and folk dancer who performed with several fork dance groups.  He worked at Hemet Valley Medical Center as a caregiver and cook and at Valley Resource Center as a vocational assistant for developmentally challenged adults.

He was a man with strong spiritual beliefs who studied Soto Zen under Maezumi Roshi and was an ordained Buddhist priest.

We celebrate his new life with prayers of gratitude and by remembering his kindness to friends and family and his service to the community.

Remembering our good friend with prayers and good wishes as he begins his eternal life.  Please be kind to someone in his memory.  Thanks for all your prayers.

Brian J. Robbins of Ontario, CA, age 65, peacefully passed away on August 14, 2017.  He is survived by his life partner Elizabeth W. Locklair, 3 children, Nicole Elizabeth (Carlo) Serraiocco, Jason (Kathryn) Edward Robbins; 2 step-children, Rachel R. Locklair and Matthew B.C. Grove Ave., Ontario, California on August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

Marcia Rapaport passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2nd, 2017, at the age of 78 years old.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1939. 

In 1961, Marcia married Barry Rapaport (died 1981) and had 3 children with him.   She is survived by her 3 sons:  Andrew, Steven and Eric; 2 daughters-in-law: Denise and Emi; and 5 grandchildren: Nicole, Michelle, Bailie, Logan and Mitchell.  She is also survived by her brother, Howard Strachman.

Marcia lived in Temecula for 43 years in the same house where she raised her family.
She loved to read, watch TV, play bridge, and talk on the phone with her friends and family.

Marcia was an original member of the Rancho Temecula Woman’s Club and she donated hundreds of hours at The Friends of the Library.  Marcia was the office manager at the then local newspaper, The Californian.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 19 at 3pm at Pat & Oscar’s Restaurant, 29375 Rancho Ca. Rd, Temecula.

Born June 5, 1927 and passed away August 2, 2017 at 90 years old.

Raised in Washington state and moved to California as a young man. Received his Teaching Credential from Chico State and his Masters from University of Northern Arizona. Taught High School science and coached basketball/football throughout his career. Retired from Hemet Junior High and lived in Hemet most of his life after retirement.

He was very active in his local church as an elder and pastor of the group.

He is survived by his Daughter Kathy Rose and his son, Dean Junior. He was an inspiration to so many through the years and will forever be missed!

Elise M. Enrico, 67, was born on February 2, 1950 in Somerville Massachusetts and passed away peacefully on August 1, 2017 surrounded by her family. She moved to California as a child and was a long time resident of Rancho Cucamonga. She is survived by her husband of 46 years David, her daughters Janet and Elise; son-in-law Marc; grandchildren Elissa, Shane, Joseph, Hailey and Emily and great-granddaughter Lily. She is also survived by her brother Tom Coit of Coeur d’ Alene Idaho and preceded in death by her brothers Lloyd Lovering, John Lovering and Linda Olhausen. 
Her family would like to thank the nursing staff at San Antonio hospital for their kindness and support as it will be remembered always.

Memorial Service will be held August 19th at Chaffey Cultural 525 W. 18th St. Upland CA 91784 from Noon until 3pm.
