Karen Edna Molnar

June 2, 1945 - October 7, 2017

Karen passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  She was born in Morristown, NJ to Kenneth and Edna Johnsen.  She has two brothers, Kenneth Johnsen and Carl Johnsen as well as a sister, Carol Johnsen Dunkel.  She attended Hanover Park High School.  In 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, William J. Molnar.  They moved to Dana Point, CA in 1969.

Karen loved her family and was a devoted Christian.  Her faith guided her through the many roads of life, and was truly a large part of her kindhearted character.  Karen enjoyed entertaining and bringing family together for the holidays.  She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William J. Molnar.  She is survived by her 4 children, Cathy Neely, William J. Molnar Jr, Colleen Garcia, and Jennifer Hamill, as well, as 9 grandchildren, Sam, Olivia, Levi, Loren, Vivian, Kristopher, George, Lucy and James.

Karen will be deeply missed by so many, but will never be forgotten.  There will be a memorial service at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Hemet, CA on November 25, 2017 at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests your presence, your prayers, or a donation to The Prince of Peace Lutheran’s, in Hemet, youth program.
