Edward (Eddie) Ybarra Castorena, 80
Born February 15, 1939 Passed away on January 17, 2020 in
Fontana, Ca. at Kaiser Hospital.
Eddie was born in South Colton where he attended Woodrow
Wilson elementary school and continued his education by attending Colton Jr.
and Colton High School where he graduated. He joined the United States National
Reserves to serve our country. Upon returning home, he was employed by the
Colton Cement Plant for 35 years, where he later retired from. Eddie’s passion
was music, he was a great Saxophone player and football player in his High
school days. But his true love was music. He was an active member of the
Woodrow Wilson Alumni Committee.
Eddie Castorena, was a kind, loving devoted person. He loved
his family and the Colton Community, where is grew up at. He was a man with A
“Huge Heart”. He will be truly missed by his beloved family and friends.
He is preceded in deaths by his paternal parents Profido and
Andrea Castorena. His late wife Helen Campos Castorena and his Companion of 15
years Paula Jacobo.
Survivors include his Sister Carolina Castorena Duarte of
Colton, Brother Tommy Ybarra Castorena of Colton. Son ,Mark Castorena, 3
Granddaughters and 1 Granddaughter all of Colton. He also leaves behind a many
Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5th at
San Salvador Catholic Church, 178 W K St, Colton, CA
